David Bor Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist
A Psychotherapy Assessment is offered before ongoing work is agreed, that generally consists of:
-
An initial parent meeting
-
3 sessions with the child/young person
-
A Review meeting to reflect on the assessment and to plan ongoing sessions if agreed.
Reports can be provided at additional cost.
Termly reviews when work is ongoing support shared understandings to review the plan of work.
Parent Work has been shown to be highly effective in supporting a child/young person's development if they do not want therapy, or if parents want to reflect on their understandings and parenting approaches. I am also trained to deliver the PACE therapeutic parenting approach (Dan Hughes). Parent Work is sometimes important in supporting progress alongside a child's own therapy. In those instances the work is provided by a different clinician.
